Cataract Awareness Month

Don't let cataracts dim your light.

June is Cataract Awareness Month! Although over 24 million Americans aged 50+ are affected by cataracts, the condition can also occur in children and young adults or as a result of trauma or medications. Usually, cataracts develop in both eyes, but one may be worse than the other. Cataracts occur when the eye’s lens becomes cloudy and while this is a normal part of aging, there are some steps you can take to prevent the development of cataracts and keep your eyes healthy for years to come.

Early detection can prevent blindness. Cataracts are diagnosed through a comprehensive eye examination. For a clearer tomorrow, talk to your eye doctor about cataracts. Schedule an appointment with us to learn more.
