Dr. Sherry Wong – Eye Doctor in Honolulu
Dr. Sherry S. Y. Wong’s connection to Simply Eyes Hawaii began long before she became an optometrist. Born and raised in Honolulu, she first worked at the practice as a young staff member, an experience that inspired her to pursue a career in eye care and serving her local community.
Dr. Wong earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa before receiving her Doctor of Optometry degree from Pacific University College of Optometry in Oregon.
After graduating, Dr. Wong returned home to Hawai‘i, where she spent years providing comprehensive eye care in a busy Oʻahu optical practice. In 2025, she and Dr. Tracie Inouchi relaunched the practice as Simply Eyes Hawaii, bringing Dr. Wong back to the office where her journey in eye care first began.
Dr. Wong is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Hawai‘i Optometric Association. She is also fluent in Cantonese, allowing her to provide personalized eye care for Honolulu’s Cantonese-speaking community in their preferred language.
Outside the office, Dr. Wong enjoys traveling with her husband, trying new restaurants, and spending time with family and friends.
